3 MCs vote with opposition to defeat motion October 17 Dailynews: In a surprise political turn around three UNP councillors voted with the opposition to defeat a motion of the Kotte Municipal Council presented by its Mayor Ranjith Cooray. Hemasiri voted with the opposition against the motion. The motion was for a project to provide round the clock health facilities within the Kotte Municipal limits operated by the private sector. Hemasiri voted with the opposition against the motion. Three UNP members Premalal Athukorala, Siripala Cooray and Jayantha Hemasiri voted with the opposition against the motion.
