PA seniors angry over Wimal's whip October 20 Island: PA seniors were angry over JVP MP Wimal Weerawansa's recent remarks that they, particularly the opposition leader and the chief opposition whip, should be whipped for failing to ensure the presence of the entire group in parliament when the controversial Electricity Reforms Bill came up for voting, party sources said. Ten PA MPs were not in when the bill was passed. They were Anura Bandaranaike, Lakshman Kadirgamar, Richard Pathirana, A. H. M. Fowzie, Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Mahinda Amaraweera, John Seneviratne, Jayaratne Herath, Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra and Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie de Mel.
