MORAGODA GOES TO LONDON TO BEG FOR THE "PEACE TALKS"
By Walter Jayawardhana reporting from Los Angeles

The Tamil Tigers official website, the Tamil Net published these photographs of Prime Minister's Man Friday Milinda Moragoda going to London and meeting a more plump and sickly looking Anton Balasingham, the self acclaimed theorist and chief negotiator of the Liberation tigers of Tamil Eelam. Since Balasingham and company have been postponing the Thailand "peace talks" so many times from last May through August the Ranil Wickremesinghe administration thought to send their emissary to see Balasingham on July 27 in London on his way back home from Washington..

The meeting Milinda Moragoda received at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in London with Balasingham was 2 hours, very much longer than the meager 15 minutes including a photo opportunity with President Bush Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe received in Washington. About a week ago, Moragoda occupied the ambassador's seat in Washington to arrange for the meeting with the US President with Dinith Karunarathna of the UNP propaganda unit, announcing over the Sandeshaya of the BBC that no other Sri Lankan leader had ever received such acceptance in Washington.

The Tamil Net commenting on the Balasingham - Moragoda meeting said, " The discussion covered a variety of issues regarding the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and preparations for direct negotiations in Thailand, including the agenda for negotiations and the question of an interim administration."
