By Walter Jayawardhana reporting from Los Angeles

The Sinhala group of parliamentarians who held a meeting at the Dharmayathanaya, Borella decided to campaign island wide against Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe’s decision to de-ban the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam.

A spokesman said, the meeting decided to educate civil societies and organizations across the nation of the ill effects of de-banning of the Tamil Tigers.

Cabinet spokesman Professor G.L. Peiris said that the government was committed to de-ban the terrorist and separatist outfit ten days prior to the official talks between the UNF government and Tamil Tigers in Thailand on September 16.

Dinesh Gunawardena, Tissa Karaliyadda, K. Thevarapperuma, W.Wickramaratne,

Shantha kumara Dasanayaka, Mahipala Herath. M.K.D.S. Gunawardena, S. M. Chandrasena, S.R.Maddumabandara and Sumedha P. Jayasena attended the meeting. (EOM)
