GOOD PALS KARUNA AND AUSTIN !! DID AUSTIN INSPECT
THE CARGO BROUGHT IN BY NORWEGIANS FOR TIGERS?

Fernando. Karuna is alleged to be the man who murdered the 600 policemen
who were asked to surrender to the LTTE at the end of the “peace talks” during
the regime of President Ranasinghe Premadasa. Austin Fernando is in a new
controversy in relation to the bringing in of a powerful radio transmitter and
a VSAT communication earth station by the Norway embassy for the use of
the separatist terrorists, the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. Austin Fernando
claims that he appointed a committee of experts to inspect the illegal cargo
brought in to the country by Norwegian ambassador Jon Westborg. But he also
claims that the military communication satellite equipment brought in to the
country with the radio transmitter was missing at the inspection. But the Jathika
Bhikshu Peramuna who demonstrated in front of the Royal Norwegian embassy
has accused him of telling lies to cover up the Ranil Wickremesinghe government
since they were hundred per cent sure that the equipment weighing nearly 10
tons were taken away in sealed containers with specific instructions not to
open for inspection. The opposition has accused that the so called licenses for
broadcasting station and the so called inspection papers were bogus and later
