TAMIL TIGER TERRORISTS KILL THREE POLICE OFFICERS IN THE EASTERN PROVINCE: TWO OF THEM ARE TAMILS

Los Angeles:-The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) terrorists intensified its activities in the troubled Eastern Province and killed three police officers in two separate incidents.
Among the victims were two Tamil police officers.
Police Constable Jayarasa Jayabala Rajendran was abducted while he was going to work at Thirukkovil Police station from his home on a bicycle.
The Police said he left his Vinayagapuram residence about 6.30 p.m. July 27, and police came to know he was abducted by two LTTE terrorists and taken towards Navakkudah area. The Police started searching for him in that area.
But on the next day Police heard that his dead body was lying in the Sagama Akkaraipattu Road.
In the other incident, Police Sergeant Sarath and Police constable Jesdasan were gunned down by the LTTE pistol gang while they were on a foot patrol.
Both of them were gunned down at Kungu Aru, Palauttur July 28 about 11.45 the police said.
