Los Angeles:-Norwegian Peace Envoy Jon Hanssen Bauer is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka to start immediate talks with the Sri Lanka government and Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam.

The meetings scheduled earlier than the current escalation of Mavil Aru dispute to discuss about the resconstruction of the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) due to the withdrawal of European Union countries will also concentrate mainly on how to end the violence.

Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission sources said, Finland, Denmark and Sweden withdrew their members from the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission after the Tamil Tigers demanded their withdrawal before September 1 as a protest against the European Union ban of the terrorist group.

Icelandic and Norwegians monitors are the only ones left in the monitoring mission now. The parties have to come to an agreement about the countries that should include in the mission.

Under the present rules only ice landic countries could take part in the mission. But those rules could be changed with the consent of the parties.
