LTTE WEBSITE ANNOUNCES ITS ALLEGED FRONT ORGANIZATION ELLALAN FORCE COMMITTED THE MURDER OF POLITICAL OPPONENT

May 17, 12.10 PM: The Tamil Net, official news website of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) announced that Ellalan Force , identified by the US State Department as a front organization of the rebel group has killed, Subramaniam Chandralalith(22) during the early hours of Sunday morning (May 16).
The deceased, a former member of the People’s Liberation Organization of Tamil Eelam (PLOTE) , abducted with few others was shot dead and his body was later found by the Police. The deceased is the father of two children.
The LTTE in the latest campaign is believed to be spreading fear psychosis among its political opponents in the government run Jaffna peninsula, despite the rebel’s proposed peace talks and the Tamil Net said the alleged front organization kept a note by the side of the body admitting the murder.
e Us State Department has identified, The Ellalan Force, The Sangiliyan Force, Federation of Associations of Canadian Tamils, World Tamil Movement and World Tamil Association as front organizations of the proscribed LTTE.
The mother in law of the deceased, in a statement to the Police said, that the LTTE cadre Eeswaran kidnapped the deceased together with five others in a van.
The LTTE website, Tamil Net said , “five persons who were abducted along with him by the group on Saturday were found in different places n the town blind folded and with their hands tied.”
Quoting Police sources the LTTE website said, “They had been severely beaten up before they were pushed out of the van in which they were abducted.”
Both the Tamil Net and the pro-LTTE Sandeshaya of the BBC quoting Ellalan Forces said all the kidnapped were accused of robbery, rape , abduction, extortion, fraud and child molestation. But no news service said that they were non-LTTE members or belonged to other political parties. The news services did not substantiated the charges.
The LTTE front organization, Ellalan Force, had earlier assassinated, the Jaffna Mayors Sarojini Yogeswaran and Sivapalan who belonged to the Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) in an attempt to wipe out other political party members among the Tamils.
LTTE’s Eeswaran and other cadres in a van allegedly abducted the six men when they were playing cards at Ayinthu Sandhi (Five Junction).
