THAMILCHELVAN SURE RANIL WOULD EMBRACE COUNTER PROPOSALS

August 20.10.55 AM:Before taking the Sri Lanka Air Force helicopter at Kilinochchi on his way to Paris the political head of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, S.P. Thamilchelvan said that he was sure the Sri Lanka government of Ranil Wickremesinghe would whole heartedly embrace the LTTE counter proposals he would bring back from Paris.
Thamilchelvan was expected to take a flight from Katunayaka International Airport to Paris to contact whom the LTTE described as “constitutional experts” and bring back counter proposals based on the government’s proposals to establish an un-elected LTTE dominated Interim government for the Northern and Eastern Provinces.
Thamilchelvan arrived in a luxury car with full guards to the helicopter CH 548 which was engaged in transporting the terrorist leader from Waniini to Katunayaka. Two SLAF helicopters were used to bring Thamilchelvan and his ten member delegation to Katunayaka. Pulithevan , of the LTTE Secretariat which deals what they categorize as peace, and Amparai District Commander Karuna, who was notorious for his massacre of 600 surrendered Police officers during the time of the Late President Ranasinghe Premadasa were among members of the delegation.
