JVP LEADER SAYS THE REFUSAL TO ACCEPT RULING ON WAN ELA MILITARY CAMP IS PART OF A NORWEGIAN-TAMIL CONSPIRACY

By Walter Jayawardhana reporting from Los Angeles

July 27.11.45 PM:The current refusal of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam not to withdraw their illegally built military camp at Wan Ela in Kinniya, Trincomalee was only a ruse on the part of the Tamil rebels to help the Norwegians to bring in an international peace keeping force into Sri Lanka , charged the leader of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna Somawansa Amerasinghe.

The Sri Lanka based web radio, Radio Lanka quoting Somawansa Amerasinghe said this was the latest part of the conspiracy between the Norwegians and the Tamil separatists to bring in an international peace keeping force in to the island that would ultimately help the LTTE to carve out their putative state of Eelam from the Eastern and Northern Provinces of Sri Lanka.

Somawansa Amerasinghe said the refusal of the LTTE to accept the ruling of the Norway backed Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) to immediately withdraw from the illegally built military camp on Wan Ela was part of a conspiracy between the Norwegians and the Tamil Tigers to provide an excuse for the Norwegians to call for an international peace keeping force in to the island nation at the expense of Sri Lanka.

The exiled leader of the country’s second largest opposition party said ultimately the Norwegians would see to it that the International Peace Keeping Force would provide the de-facto separation of the country required by the Tamil Tigers at the expense of the people of Sri Lanka.

Somawansa Amerasinghe accused that the Norwegians , secretly supporting the separation of the country was going to tell the world that to avoid a ferocious war between the Sri Lankan troops and the separatist Tamil Tigers and save many lives an international peace keeping force was a highly imperative.

First the Trincomalee office of the SLMM and later the Colombo headquarters insisted that the Wan Ela military camp of the Tamil rebel group t had been actually built on Sri Lanka government controlled territory and ruled the rebel s should immediately dismantle their camp.

But the LTTE had refused to accept the ruling and had created a crisis in the whole Sri Lanka peace process.
